For E-Commerce

How to use the bot to sell more.

If you run an online store, your bot should do three things:

  1. Answer product questions before the customer leaves.
  2. Recommend products based on what they ask about.
  3. Capture emails for follow-up — especially for visitors who don't buy.

Best setup for a store

  • Mode: Flow Builder + AI Assistant block (so you can collect emails before letting the AI take over).
  • Knowledge Source: Direct Prompt with your full catalog, prices, shipping rules, return policy, and FAQ.
  • Integrations: Klaviyo (via Make.com) for cart abandonment emails. Google Sheets as a backup log.
  • Domain whitelist: Your shop domain.

What to feed your bot

Open AI Knowledge Studio → Direct Prompt and add:

  • Store description (one paragraph: what you sell, who you sell to, what makes you special).
  • Contact email and phone.
  • Shipping: where you ship, how long it takes, free shipping rules.
  • Returns: how many days, what items can't be returned, how the process works.
  • Payment methods.
  • Current campaigns (update monthly!).
  • Bestsellers: top 3–5 products with names, prices, and links.
  • Full catalog (or as much as fits) with names, prices, descriptions, and links.
  • FAQ: at least 5 common questions and answers.

Avoid these mistakes

  • Old campaigns left in the prompt — the bot will mention a sale that ended. Worse than no offer at all.
  • Made-up product URLs — the bot must only use links you provide. Never let it guess.
  • No fallback for "I don't know" — tell the bot what to say when it doesn't have an answer (e.g. "Please email support@yourstore.com").

We can build this for you

Don't want to fill all this in yourself? Our Done-For-You setup is €249 one-time per bot. We pull info from your site, build the prompt, install the widget, and test it before handing over. See Done-For-You Setup.
